Where the homeless sleep and why they sleep there

Many of those homeless have some degree of mental illness, addiction problems they can get past, are criminals, or found themselves there due to severe distresses in their lives. When living on the streets you're constantly under threat and vulnerable simply due to your circumstances. The safest place to be is right there in public with security cameras, and at night, wherever there are lights. You don't want to be the person alone in a dark corner somewhere thinking you're safe -- because you're not. Being attacked, robbed, or even killed is a real possibility and you would have no way to get help if this happens. Learn more about homelessness with step 13 sober living.
